Charles River Development is looking for an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer who will focus on designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure required for efficient data processing and analysis. They work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the organization's data needs and design scalable and reliable data platforms. Data Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for tasks such as data ingestion, storage, transformation, and optimization. They ensure the availability, integrity, and security of data while optimizing performance and scalability. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data governance policies and data quality standards.

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for
As a Cloud Data Platform Engineer, you will:
Design and set up highly available platform components on Azure and SnowflakeImplement and manage the data platforms and integration in AzureDesing and Manage replication and transformation technologiesDevelop scripts, workflows, and policies to automate security and compliance effortsInfrastructure automation through Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Logic Apps, ADO, etc.Collaborate across functions to develop reference architectures and standardsConfigure and manage the CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps according to best practicesBalance pragmatism with vision; continually assessing the security posture of cloud applications and deliver improvements to the team’s tools, processes and codebaseContribute documentation & collaboration site content to drive knowledge sharingEnsure that new cloud solutions properly implement security controls as standards dictateWhat we value
Applied expertise in designing/implementing secure platforms for applications and dataThorough understanding of both Windows and Linux-based infrastructureA passion for learning about emerging technologies and sharing knowledgeExperience documenting technology standards, operational procedures, and requirementsEducation & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field required, Master’s preferredHands on experience managing Snowflake environmentsHands on experience administering replication tools like Qlik , Fivetran etcHands on experience with ETL tools like TalenDHands on experience with reporting and semantic layer toolsFive years of cloud deployment experience, preferred with Azure experiencesDemonstrated cloud deployment experiences using standard CI/CD pipelineWorking experience with highly segmented networks in public and private clouds.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies in Azure or any other cloud platformExcellent communication, documentation and troubleshooting skillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAdditional requirements
Work experience in multiple public clouds preferred
