Cloud Deals Revenue Recognition Lead
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience. + 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance. + Experience in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting principles with experience in revenue accounting (ASC 606) in a public accounting or multinational company setting. Preferred qualifications: + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA). + Experience as a revenue recognition professional with deal review experience in the technology industry. + Experience in technical accounting assessments and operational execution with revenue agreements, including multiple performance obligations, multi-year agreements, and relative promoting price allocation. + Ability to communicate with senior management and cross functional business partners. + Ability to lead initiatives cross-functionally in a fluid environment across a large, complex, global organization. + Ability to work independently in a fluid environment, while being adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities. In this role, you will be a key member of the Controllership team supporting Google Cloud, ensuring accurate business recognition under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will conduct deal reviews of cloud agreeements, navigating customer agreements and advising and influencing deal structures to optimize financial terms for the business. You will leverage your business and accounting expertise to develop solutions for new product launches and promotions, and drive process improvements through cross-functional collaboration. This role is integral to the business reporting process, offering opportunities to work within a high-growth cross functional environment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
