Our client, a leader in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking an Cloud Developer - Expert Level to join their team. **Job Title: Data** Cloud Developer **Location:** Spring, TX **What's the Job?** + Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models, type 2 dimensional models, and data flow diagrams. + Collaborate with Data and IT Architects to define architectural standards and develop Architectural Decision Records (ADRs). + Provide data architectural and modeling support, guidance, and mentorship to data engineering product teams. + Partner with IT to ensure data platforms and related tooling meet business needs. + Drive strategies for data management, including master/reference data and governance frameworks. **What's Needed?** Cloud Engineer o Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud platform. o Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources & policies. o Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub. o Architect and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices. o Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security. o Implement and enforce cloud governance policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. o Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices. o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. o Provide technical consulting on effective cost optimization for application teams, including efficient operation of AWS services and resource types, and creation of budgets, alerts, and cost management dashboards • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS. • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. • Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and collaboration. • Solid understanding of cloud architecture and best practices. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. • Knowledge of cloud governance frameworks and best practices. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work on impactful data architecture projects in the Oil and Gas sector. + Collaborative work environment with a diverse team of experts. + Chance to enhance your skills in data governance and architecture. + Engagement in innovative data solutions that drive business value. + Professional growth and development opportunities in a fast-paced industry.
