We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Security Operations Engineer to manage and administer our private cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and Azure, with a keen understanding of cloud infrastructure, vulnerability remediation, and versioned code management. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively troubleshoot, manage vulnerabilities, and contribute to the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ideally using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Qualifications// Required:
Proficient in troubleshooting EC2 instances and Linux hosts.
Skilled in authoring, publishing, and maintaining Amazon Machine Images (AMIs).
Experienced in managing vulnerability processes, including the identification and remediation of common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs).
Capable of assessing, prioritizing, and responding to security threats and exposed credentials.
Proficient in navigating and editing code repositories, ensuring proper version control and collaboration with development teams.
Experienced in authoring and managing modules for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment.
Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar frameworks.
Recommended Certifications:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner: Demonstrates foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services and solutions.
AWS SysOps Operator: Validates technical expertise in deployment, management, and operations on AWS.
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate: Confirms proficiency in managing Azure cloud services and supporting cloud infrastructure.
Additional Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
