Type: Contract Job Title: IT Analyst III Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid remote) Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Charlotte, NC Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED minimum required. Travel: Minimal travel anticipated within the U.S. A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to influence and interact effectively with peers and IT leaders Experience working in a global IT infrastructure environment Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities Description The Global Directory Services Engineer (IT Analyst III) is a senior technology leader and SME for Global Directory Services, including on-premises and cloud Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and related products. This role will act as an enabler across IT Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, Strategic Partners, Technology Vendors, and Project Management teams to successfully deliver initiatives and priorities. A core responsibility of this role is maintaining an organized, secure, and flexible environment while minimizing manual tasks through automation. The successful candidate will evaluate Active Directory and Entra environments, recommend continuous improvements, and align with best practices. As a key member of the Multi-Cloud team, the IT Analyst III will help drive the delivery of key priorities across multiple stakeholders, in collaboration with Project Managers and Technical Support teams. Roles and Responsibilities Design, install, configure, and operate Active Directory (AD), Entra, and supporting utilities Establish standards, policies, and guidelines for Active Directory and Entra in collaboration with service line owners, security, and technology teams Develop and support AD and Entra solutions that align with technology standards Provide technical consultation for IT project startups, including requirement gathering and formal PMO approval Serve as a technical lead in planning, design, coordination, and execution of IT projects Assist in promoting a consistent vision and strategy across the organization Build relationships to foster collaboration and enhance service delivery Oversee change control in accordance with Change Management and Incident Management policies Mentor infrastructure team members on AD best practices Provide escalated support for business-critical problems Required Skills 7+ years of experience in Active Directory and Windows system administration 7+ years’ experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure in a production environment Active Directory Design and Migration experience at an enterprise level (multiple forests, domains, and trust relationships) Implementation of Active Directory security best practices (tiered services, GPOs, Privileged Access Workstations, AD Health Monitoring) Experience with Active Directory backup, restore testing, and ransomware protection Expertise in: Active Directory on-prem Azure AD ADFS M365 Integration Multi-factor Authentication Windows Server Core Holistic understanding of IT infrastructure (server, storage, network, virtualization, database, DR/BCP, etc.) Understanding of public cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (AWS, Azure) Proven ability to drive operational improvements and efficiencies Desired Skills Experience with Microsoft AD partitioning and tiering mechanisms (Red Forest, Tier 0/1/2, Privileged Access Workstations, Netwrix Password Policy Enforcer, Quest Recovery Manager) Experience in a high-security or regulated environment Manufacturing industry experience Additional Information No third-party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with local, state, and federal laws All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to Rebecca.Olan@ctg.com.
