Design and implement automatic deployment of OpenStack-based cloud applications.Maintain, support, and troubleshoot OpenStack deployments.Implement self-healing procedures for OpenStack cloud applications.Collaborate with the development and operations teams to understand both the product and infrastructure components.Must keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as well as apply latest techniques and industry information as appropriate.Provide coaching and direction for more junior DevOps engineers.

Technical/Professional Qualifications/Skills:

 

Working experience with OpenStack: deployment, configuration, operations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Expert level with installation/configuration automation and scripting (sh, python, etc.)Experience with various configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)Experience scaling a cloud-based infrastructure.Familiar with network administration.Familiar with database administration.Familiar with core infrastructure components (DNS, LDAP, etc.)Comfortable working with various monitoring systems (Icinga, Ganglia, etc.)Experience working in Agile or Iterative development processes desired.Experience with Rational Unified Process and Scrum desired.

Required Education and Experience:

 

BS in Mathematics/Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline.4+ years working in a Linux environment.3+ years of experience with 3-tier Java/Oracle applications.3+ years of experience in Operations/DevOps.2+ years of experience with VMWare, experience with AWS and Azure or other IaaS a plus.2+ years of experience with OpenStack.
