An AWS Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services. This role involves collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based applications. The engineer leverages AWS services to automate deployment processes, optimize performance, and manage resource allocation effectively. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing cloud environments, implementing DevOps practices, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting issues. A strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices is essential, along with proficiency in scripting and automation tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.Design and implement AWS solutions in compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks, ensuring robust security and data protection measures are in place.Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS resources and applications.Implement and manage security best practices for cloud environments.Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime.Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and technologies to enhance capabilities.Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.Provide support and training for team members on AWS technologies and practices.Design and implement AWS solutions in compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks, ensuring robust security and data protection measures are in place.Experience with Azure: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services is a plus. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Certifications: AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Developer.Experience: Several years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles.Technical Skills:Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Proficient in working with a variety of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, with experience in system administration, troubleshooting, and software installation across platforms.Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.DevOps Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.Communication Skills: Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
