KBR is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. The Cloud Engineer will support the government client in analyzing, evaluating, integrating, and managing cloud-based systems.  The position will design and deliver optimized network infrastructure for performance and resilience.  The engineer needs to have program management skills to ensure all key stakeholders all informed to ensure success in support of critical national security missions.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

Responsibilities:

Provide cloud engineering expertise to design and deliver complete mission systems (infrastructure/platform/applications/process) solutions within the cloud

Establish applications, environment uptime, and utilization scaling parameters and metrics

Establish standard policy and compliance metrics by which cloud environment operations will be monitored, corrective responses issued, and reported

Establish performance and cybersecurity monitoring framework, perform continuous monitoring, and report corrective actions

Establish and apply Zero Trust Architectures build and sustainment standards

Deliver information papers proposing emergent cloud-based technology and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

At least six (6) years of experience specific to technical and programmatic integration or a related field

Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure

Experience in software engineering, design architecture, analyzing computer hardware and software solutions

Understanding of best practices regarding cloud environments

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline (STEM)

Certifications in architecture or IT development

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of agency operating systems and databasesCloud certification (Azure or AWS)Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM field

Clearance: TS/SCI with poly required
