Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an IS Technical Specialist: II (Intermediate) based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is designed for an individual with expertise in managing Data Science platforms. As an IS Technical Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our team, handling the Data Science Infrastructure operations and developing AWS environments using CI/CD processes to support our expanding team of Data Scientists. Responsibilities • Implement and oversee the image management lifecycle process to enhance the experienced environment. • Assist in the management of AWS accounts specifically tailored for the Data Science platform. • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, to set up and manage environments. • Provide hands-on development using CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps. • Develop scripts and applications using programming languages such as Python. • Manage various database technologies including Athena, Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres. • Utilize AWS services essential for Data Lake, Data Science, AI/ML teams. • Address and resolve requests from development and business users, removing any roadblocks. • Manage secured infrastructure, enforce security measures, and apply necessary guard rails. • Resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain audit logs. • Perform system upgrades and patching, providing on-call support as required. • Conduct root cause analysis and knowledge transfer sessions with the internal team. • Collaborate with Network, Database, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to align on projects and strategies. Requirements • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Extensive experience with Database management and Audit processes • Proficiency in MySQL, Python, and Oracle • Ability to maintain logs and document processes accurately • Solid background in Programming and Computer Sciences • Proficiency in AWS Technologies and Service Level Agreements • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science • Experience scaling out systems and managing bonus programs • Proficiency in shell scripting and vulnerability analysis • Familiarity with various programming languages • Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and Continuous Integration (CI) • Ability to effectively communicate with business users • Experience in patching and root cause analysis • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
