Additionally, our client designs, builds, operates, and secures scalable cloud and IT infrastructures to meet their customers’ near-term needs and fulfill their long-term requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their team! This role supports a federal client’s mission to accelerate discovery and delivery of identity and network-based intelligence to counter national security threat actors. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise in cloud technologies and intelligence domains to lead and execute complex projects.

Provide technical expertise in a range of cloud technologies, including cloud development, cloud architecture, cloud system engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps engineering, and Agile development methodologiesLead teams on projects of varying complexity, creating solutions that impact financials, scheduling, methodology, and tools while preparing long- and short-range plans for application selection, system development, and procedural improvementsAct as a liaison between customers and technical teams, translating project requirements into technical specificationsManage project stakeholders and serve as the technical point of contact for all cloud engineering-related mattersPlan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer expectationsUnderstand customer requirements and project KPIsImplement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructurePlan team structure, activities, and project management involvementSet up tools and required infrastructureDefine and manage development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevSecOpsReview, verify, and validate software code developed in the projectTroubleshoot techniques and resolve code bugsMonitor project adherence throughout its lifecycle, updating or creating new processes for continuous improvementBuild and encourage automated processes wherever possibleIdentify and deploy security measures through continuous vulnerability assessments and risk managementConduct incident management and root cause analysisCoordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external teams and customersSelect and deploy appropriate CI/CD toolsManage periodic progress reporting for management and customers

Requirements

Experience working on Linux/Windows-based infrastructureProficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, and similar technologiesExperience configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and other relational/NoSQL databasesStrong troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud servicesExperience working with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or JenkinsAdvanced experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCPKnowledge of critical concepts in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies

Preferred Requirements

A CompTIA Security+ certificationAWS Certified Developer Associate or Solution Architect (or similar certification in Azure or GCP)Certification or coursework in CI/CD tools such as GitLab or JenkinsITIL Certification is a plus

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI clearance is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
