Reimagine What’s Possible
Air Products has an immediate opportunity for a Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect. This role is open to hybrid work from our Global HQ location in Allentown Pennsylvania or has flexibility for remote (your choice).
Air Products is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to design and build cloud hosting solutions using the latest cloud technologies and practices. You will ensure our cloud environment meets the needs of our customers and organization, learn new technologies, and participate in a fast-paced, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities, but are not limited to:
Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures on AWS following well-architected framework.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure.
DevOps Practices: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline development and deployment processes.
Scripting and Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud solutions.
Support and On-call: Participate in on-call schedule for incidents and requests.
Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the performance and reliability of cloud services.
Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
Multi-Cloud Integration: Integrate and manage cloud services across AWS and Azure environments.
Provide Training: Provide guidance and thought leadership; educate others on cloud technologies and initiatives, mentor less experienced colleagues.
Documentation: Create and update technical and user documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, with a focus on AWS.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Terraform, AWS, Azure, Azure DevOps, PowerShell or Python (ServiceNow is a plus)
Certifications: Current AWS or Azure Certification
Soft Skills: Promote respect, inclusion, and diversity; build rapport, communicate, and collaborate effectively at all levels; collaborate, gather and clarify requirements; bring enthusiasm and new ideas to opportunities and problem-solving; quickly pivot between assignments as situations, priorities, and dependencies
Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Work Model: hybrid/wfh/remote/on-call/travel
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Typical Hours: 8am-5pm, but can be flexible
On-Call: weekly rotation
Typical Travel Percentage: very low
Typical Travel Locations: ex. events at HQ or conference.
Typical Travel Duration: ex. a couple of days, a week.
