About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate within the Application and Cloud Transformation Platform Engineering team to deliver services that provide data analytics, AI/ML, and data movement.

In this role, you will:

Work on complex technology Cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key contributor in automating the provisioning of Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Code (IaC)Collaborate in developing standards and best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutionsDevelop and document the engineering aspects of the Cloud platformFollow industry best practices and how new technologies influence the Cloud technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesParticipate in reviewing and analyzing complex, large-scale technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsBuild and enable Cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration for Google Cloud Platforms (GCP) for Wells Fargo EnterpriseWorking in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutionsClosely work with Product Team and vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectationsGather and analyze data to diagnose the root cause of Cloud issues, recommend and implement solutions to resolve issues in timely manner

Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Engineering Associate experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education6+ months working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other Cloud platform and a good understanding of building complex infrastructure programmatically with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools6+ months of hands-on experience using IaC tools such as Terraform and GitHub, and/or a demonstrable understanding of these tools.Knowledge and understanding of Cloud service offerings such as Data, Analytics, AI/ML on GCPDemonstrated understanding of at least one of the following key services: BigQuery, Composer, Vertex AI, DataProc, Data Catalog, Notebook

Desired Qualifications:

Exposure to Cloud governance and logging/monitoring toolsCloud certification on GCPUnderstanding of Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) principlesKnowledge on container-based solution services, have handled 2-3 large scale Kubernetes based infrastructure build out, provisioning of services in Azure or GCPExperience in scripting (Shell, Python)Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancing concepts (IP, DNS, Guardrails, Vnets) and exposure to database, cloud security, AD, authentication methods, RBACBasic understanding of Cloud service offerings on Security, Data Protection and Security policy implementationsBasic understanding of Cloud computing concepts like landing zone and BlueprintsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiencesCollaborate with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure
