The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1700 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and business applications. Most recently, SAP Labs Bulgaria expanded in the topics of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. What you’ll do

Act as contact person for hardware related topics in the infrastructure partner ecosystem Drive certification and validation of new technology & cloud solutions in close collaboration with the SAP partner ecosystem, this includes project management tasks as well as technical analysis and optimization of test-HANA-workloads Collaboration with the SAP field organization and ECS organization, to understand SAP’s hardware requirements for SaaS offerings Support strategic initiatives to differentiate SAP’s product portfolio with exclusive infrastructure

 What you bring

5+ years of professional work experience within Development and / or strong project management skills Strong technical background in engineering and / or infrastructure technologies and / or cloud technologies Good understanding of infrastructure technologies as well as different deployment options for SAP’s product portfolio SAP HANA knowledge beneficial Strong team player and ability to work with colleagues at all levels Highly structured way of working and ability to work independently Ability to run projects professionally with internal and external stakeholder

 

Meet the team

HTIN (HANA Technology & Innovation Network) is part of the HANA Development organization. We work closely with all infrastructure partners (hardware vendors as well as hyperscalers) to optimize and certify their infrastructure offerings to run SAP HANA workloads. Independent from the deployment option, all SAP software runs on hardware. With our certification and co-innovation work with the infrastructure providers, HTIN team acts as a quality gate for infrastructure providers to be able to deliver new infrastructure technologies to SAP customers, ensuring a proper performance and scalability for SAP HANA workloads.

To do this, we run certification and co-innovation projects with all relevant infrastructure partners. We test and analyze new CPU generations and infrastructure technologies together with the partner ecosystem, with focus on Cloud infrastructure used for IaaS offerings as well as SAP’s SaaS offerings. We build a bridge to HANA development, performance and testing teams. On top of that, we develop our own tool HCMT (Hardware and Cloud Measurement Tool), that is a unique toolset to measure and analyze basic hardware capabilities.
