Job Description:

Parsons is looking for several levels of amazingly talented Network Engineers to join our team! In this role you will focus on the design, configuration, and management of network infrastructure within the cloud environment and ensure network security, performance, and integration with other systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

Network Design and Architecture:

Design and implement network architectures that support cloud-based applications and services.Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation.Ensure network designs are scalable, secure, and highly available.

Cloud Network Configuration:

Configure virtual networks, subnets, and routing tables in cloud environments (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Google Cloud VPC).Set up and manage network security groups, firewalls, and access control lists (ACLs).Implement and manage VPN connections, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or other dedicated network connections.

Network Security:

Implement network security best practices, including encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security monitoring.Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to latency, throughput, and connectivity.Optimize network configurations for performance, cost, and efficiency.Use network monitoring tools and services to ensure network health and performance.

Automation and Scripting:

Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to manage network configurations and deployments (e.g., using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).Automate routine network tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Design and implement network solutions that support disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Ensure network configurations support failover and redundancy.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.Generate reports on network performance, security, and usage.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Must have a current/active Secret or above clearance.Levels and Degrees with experience. Junior – BS and 2-4 years of experienceMid-Level – BS and 5-9 years of experienceSr. Level -BS and 10+ years of experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Currently have a Security+ certification

Technical expertise in all areas related to networking communication systems.Strong understanding of network and computer hardware interconnection.Experience with evaluating and implementing new communication technologies.Ability to determine user requirements and design specifications for networks.Familiarity with network monitoring and maintenance practices.Capability to plan and conduct hardware and software installations.Experience with multi-account/enclave organizational structures.Knowledge of integrating GOTS, COTS, or FOSS solutions and automated processes.Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work with cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure integrity.Experience with enhancing risk posture using CDM sensors.Capability to provide operational visibility into the security posture of managed cloud environments.

Salary Range:

$72,900.00 - $151,700.00
