The Cloud Network Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the Federal Financial Regulatory environment’s network infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, performance, and security of the organization’s network, supporting its mission-critical applications and services. Key responsibilities include: · Oversee the daily operations of cloud network infrastructure, including virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, and network security groups · Coordinate with Solution Architects to manage cloud network performance monitoring, ensuring high availability and reliability of network services across AWS and Azure platforms · Ensure cloud network security by implementing and managing security groups, virtual firewalls, and network security policies · Monitor cloud network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents to mitigate risks. · Conduct regular network performance assessments and capacity planning to support business growth and technology changes · Recommend and implement cloud network upgrades and improvements based on performance data and industry best practices · Ensure cloud network backup and recovery processes are implemented and maintained **Qualifications** + Bachelors degree and five years of related experience or 9+ years of related experience + Passion for all things Cloud and DevOps + Bachelors degree (or higher) in related field + Demonstrable expertise in cloud engineering, network engineering, and modern Devops practices + Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS CodeBuild. + Strong knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. + Experience with network security tools and firewalls, particularly Palo Alto Networks products. + Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VLans, hypervisors, etc.) + Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) principles and solutions. + Ability to solve problems by writing complex scripts in Python, powershell, or bash + Candidates must be US citizens due to federal contract requirements and able to pass a federal background investigation in order to gain access to sensitive information.
