Thales is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer who will support our government cloud customers. Cloud Operations Engineer will design, install, and maintain the cloud systems, applying their technical knowledge to solve a variety of technological issues and challenges. Will be responsible for testing, configuring and troubleshooting software and networking systems to meet identified needs. Will take care of all the technical workload related to cloud hosting and computing.
Regulatory Compliance Requirements
Must have U.S. or Dual Citizenship (with U.S. being one of the citizenships) and be able to obtain post-hire Public Trust Security Clearance from the Department of Homeland Security.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Supporting the company-defined AWS cloud strategy.
Enjoying solving problems, working with customers, and have technical backgrounds from a variety of different fields
Collaborating and working very closely with Site Reliability Engineering and Security teams.
Providing general guidance on questions from internal customers to troubleshooting and reproducing complex performance issues
Understanding of infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting release and configuration management
Actively participating in change and incident management processes and coordinating several stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of directly related exempt experience as equivalency.
At least 3 years of experience in managing and handling Cloud (AWS)
You must have past experiences on Linux/Windows based OS, experience in monitoring/logging like Datadog and Pagerduty.
Prior experience with incident and change management process.
We are looking for someone with excellent network analysis fundamentals, robust troubleshooting skills with large-scale customer support systems and processes who has prior experience as a Cloud Operations Engineer or DevOps Engineer or Software Developer
Prior hands-on experience in Python, Terraform, Cloud Formation, Gitlab etc.
