Cloud Operations Manager Location PUNE INDIA Hours Needed 40 Requisition Number 18052 Apply Now (https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf03/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=MOUSER&cws=40&rid=18052) JOB DESCRIPTIONTitle: Cloud Operations ManagerLocation: India The Cloud Operations Manager is directly responsible for the system health and performance of our E-Commerce platform (including our web applications, supporting databases and service providers). Guides the department in best practices regarding our software production, our site support and the commitment to our customers that our website represents. ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Leads or Manages teams of architects, specialists and engineers. + Provides and plans strategy on performance and disaster-recovery initiatives. + Analyze & collaborate to monitor and provide recommendations. + Develop operations roadmap, set improvement goals, and monitor/report on progress. + Manage additional projects and activities at regional or global levels. + Reacts quickly and manages critical system issues until resolved. + Works closely and effectively with Development and Systems groups. + Presents complex topics effectively to senior management, project teams and public groups. Analyzes impact of decisions before execution. + Has required knowledge on the SAFE /Agile methodology. + Lead cross-functional major incident escalations to minimize service disruption and expedite service restoration. + Facilitates a collaborative relationship with Project Managers to determine the best configuration on assignments based on project characteristics. + Available to work any shift as critical system issues warrant, up to and including extended hours (including around the clock, as needed) to facilitate issue resolution. + Flexible and should be available for any incident on call and work on weekends and holidays. + Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and leadership skills. + Develop IT policies and procedures to ensure that the department operates effectively and reliably, develop guides for users and technicians, such as FAQ documents. + Self-starter and able to address and troubleshoot system issue and guide the team. + Ability to work on multiple assignments and effectively manage lead and team members and priorities. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Will be required to proactively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical peers and project teams. + Identifies and resolves technical, operational problems. + Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives. + Develops and maintains a productive work team including hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance management, transfer, advancement, and termination. + Manages teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices. + Manages daily operations to meet department and company objectives. + Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments. + Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments. + Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels. + Extremely confidential and trustworthy. + Demonstrates knowledge, experience and understanding of critical job function of the team and people management. + Assists management with development of results-oriented strategies. + Regular attendance at work is an essential part of the job. SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS + People Management skills. + Overseeing deploying, maintaining and supporting solutions across Cloud infrastructure. + Knowledge and understanding on Cloud infrastructure automation such as Terraform. + Solid understanding on cloud observability tools. + Solid understanding on Patching and Windows security. + Knowledge on Network Infrastructure and Cloud security framework. + Basic network and server configuration skills. + Azure cloud certification is good to have. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s Degree in any field, or minimum of 3 years prior work experience that is relevant to the team you will manage. Including: + Internal candidates: Minimum 2 years as a highly performing Mouser Team Lead or Supervisor. + External candidates: Minimum 3 years as a supervisor or higher-level management position + Experience 7 years in cloud operations, running a large-scale, high traffic website.
