Cloud Revenue Operations & Transformation Analyst
**Introduction** The Cloud Revenue Operations & Transformation Analyst will serve as the main point of contact for all Cloud billing related inquiries from internal teams and external clients. This role will be responsible for evaluating and streamlining the E2E quote to revenue process to ensure accurate client billing and revenue recognition. This includes accurate quoting, order management, billing and revenue recognition with a deep understanding of cloud consumption models and provisioning. The ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence and collaborate across sales, finance, Cloud BSS (entitlement, rating and metering tool) and product management teams to deliver accurate ordering, billing and revenue recognition. **Your role and responsibilities** Key Responsibilities: 1. Ordering and contract management a. Work closely with the IBM Q2C team on quoting to billing, ensuring data input accuracy and governance. b. Collaborate with Sales to support quote creation, approvals and deal structuring for non-standard contracts. c. Evaluate Sales requests to ensure all contract terms can be systematically supported with Cloud GTM and BSS product management. d. Account level Management Issue Resolution 2. Billing and Invoicing a. Monitor subscription and Enterprise Savings plan usage-based billing for Cloud services. b. Validate, reconcile and review billing data to ensure accuracy and timeliness. c. Address customer billing inquiries and disputes to resolution. d. Reconcile invoices with consumption, contracts and our Cloud BSS. 3. Cloud consumption and provisioning Oversight: a. Monitor Cloud consumption data and ensure proper alignment with client contracts b. Oversee provisioning activities and troubleshoot issues related to activation or setup. c. Provide insights into consumption trends and recommendations for optimization d. Develop a thorough understanding of cloud consumption patterns and provisioning processes in order to provide recommendations and improvements. e. Work closely with Product management, Client Success Managers, BSS analytics to address billing impacts of improvements in provisioning models. 4. Reporting and Analytics a. Generate reports on metrics, billing performance and cloud consumption to ensure commitments are being met. Identify lags and alert Sales and Client Success. b. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for improving revenue recognition and operational efficiency where appropriate. c. Tracking of concessions credits or any manual adjustments which impact revenue. 5. System and Data inputs a. Reconciliation expertise for non-ESP commercial models (DSW, CFTS, IMS) b. Post Contract model migration Audit for pricing. c. Analyze and improve the E2E workflows, focusing on system integrations between Pipeline, Quote/Order, BSS, billing applications. d. Provide system enhancement recommendations to Development teams to resolve gaps. 6. Collaboration and Optimization a. Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, BSS, Client Success Managers, Sales to ensure alignment on billing transformation objectives. b. Ensure adherence and governance to revenue recognition rules and timelines. c. Identify and address gaps in the process to enhance efficiency, accuracy and scalability. **Required technical and professional expertise** · Strong understanding of Cloud consumption and provisioning processes · Proficiency in Quoting, entitlement and billing applications · Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills · Ability to communicate effectively with both Cloud and IBM stakeholders. **Preferred technical and professional experience** · Ability to learn configure, price, quoting and billing applications. · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
