Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cloud Security Engineer in Lehi, Utah. This role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring the secure functioning of our cloud-based services. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be working across various teams, contributing to the overall security of our systems and applications. Responsibilities: • Develop and manage AWS security services including IAM, VPC, KMS, Security Hub, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Config, WAF, and others. • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) in AWS IAM. • Enforce AWS network security best practices such as security groups, NACLs, VPC architecture, and VPN setups. • Manage encryption standards and protocols, such as KMS, HSMs, and data-at-rest/in-transit encryption. • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to enforce security policies. • Set up and fine-tune threat detection and monitoring tools such as Wiz, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and Security Hub. • Integrate SIEM platforms and monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, AWS CloudWatch for better visibility and threat detection. • Ensure compliance with frameworks like CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark and NIST 800-53 Rev5. • Ensure alignment with compliance requirements such as SOC 2, FedRAMP, or GDPR. • Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for cloud environments. • Develop and execute incident response plans (IRPs) for cloud environments. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field • Proficiency in AWS IAM and AWS CloudTrail • Demonstrated experience with Role-based access control • Familiarity with SIEM Tools • Knowledge of FedRAMP standards • Experience with Terraform and Cloudformation • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and team collaboration skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred • Relevant certifications in cloud security are a plus Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
