Cloud Security Engineer (Job 3015549)

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer with a primary focus on securing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our SaaS applications and assisting with Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) and cloud security posture management (CSPM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in securing cloud environments, knowledge of SaaS security best practices, and hands-on experience with various cloud platforms and security tools.

Key Responsibilities:

SaaS Security: Implement and manage security controls and policies, such as SSO and MFA, for SaaS applications to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Collaborate with application owners to assess and secure third-party SaaS integrations, ensuring they meet security requirements. Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities related to cloud platforms and services. Conduct security assessments and risk analyses on SaaS products to ensure they meet organizational security requirements. Cloud Workload Protection: Deploy and manage security solutions for cloud workloads, including virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions. Monitor and assess the security of cloud-based workloads for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance issues. Implement and manage security controls such as encryption, identity management, and access policies to secure workloads. Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM): Evaluate, configure, and manage cloud security posture management tools to ensure the organization’s cloud environments adhere to security best practices and regulatory requirements. Continuously monitor and improve the security posture of cloud infrastructure across major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Assist in remediating misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps identified through CSPM tools. Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Engineering, and IT to implement cloud security best practices. Provide regular reports on security posture, incidents, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership. Stay current with emerging cloud security trends, threats, and technologies, and propose solutions to mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in cloud security, with a focus on SaaS security, cloud workload protection, and CSPM. Hands-on experience with popular cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security tools. Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, CIS, GDPR, SOC 2). Strong understanding of SaaS security challenges and best practices, including access control, data protection, and application security. Experience with security automation and cloud security monitoring tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Qualys, etc.). Experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection in cloud environments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cloud security certifications (e.g., CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer). Familiarity with container security (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security and DevSecOps practices. Experience with Salesforce best practices and hardening. Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) in cloud environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
