As a Cloud Software Development Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Prototyping software projects for quick evaluation of design ideas.
Engaging with customers and partner teams to understand the use cases for new technologies and opportunities for Intel.
Evaluating new Intel technologies like accelerators, memory, security, encryption, and compression by creating proof-of-concept software solutions and presenting the findings to our partners as well as Intel architects.
Using performance methodologies to improve Intel's hardware and optimize data platforms software to ensure the best performance on Intel Architecture.
Collaborating with the wider team and mentoring team members.

QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable technical discipline with 3+ years
-OR- a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable technical discipline
3+ years of development expertise in C/C++/C#/Java or similar.
1+ years of experience in computer architecture fundamentals built through coursework or hands-on experience.
Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:
Specialized knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Database/OS internals, hardware knowledge (CPU/System/Networking/Storage), and Cloud-related technologies.
Knowledge of operating systems and multithreaded programming patterns.
Knowledge of Enterprise and Cloud Server architecture.
Experience with performance tools and methodologies.
