Cloud Solutions Architect for Managed Services

This position will be part of the HP Workforce Solutions organization with a focus on cloud offerings for Enterprise customers. The Cloud Solutions Architect will design private and multi-tenant cloud systems with the goal to deliver a range of workflow and print applications, as well as system management tools under a service agreement with customers. Having a deep technical expertise in cloud and security technologies, the architect will collaborate with sales teams worldwide to provide a superior value proposition to HP clients who want to fully outsource their workflow and print management systems and treat those as outsourced IT services.

You will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues from a subject matter expert perspective. Frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives. Act as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represent the organization to external customers/clients. Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Main responsibilities will include:

Create new and optimize existing cloud architecture for workflow and print applications using AWS and Azure technologies.Customizes organization’s product and service offerings to architect solutions that align with customer needs and formulates technically achievable long-term IT strategies and plans for clients. Understand client’s IT requirements for outsourcing applications, as well as implications for storage, networking, databases, failover processes, security controls, etc.Captures and distributes architectural intellectual property at the project and program level.Evaluates the technical implications of various technologies and strategies as well as identifies and mitigates technical or operational risks.Collaborate with other architects, internal and external partners to integrate the HP applications on the cloud systems using AWS and Azure technologies.Create test plans for those systems to ensure performance and security requirements are met.Guide Infrastructure DevOps and Application DevOps teams to perform needed activities to translate the designed architecture into a service for the customer.Design with security in mind: work with the HP Cyber Security team and assess/optimize security controls.Provide technical consulting during the presales phase of complex client engagements. Work with the HP account team to present and demonstrate the proposed cloud-based system to technical stakeholders.Ensure successful deployment and system integration with the client environment through internal and external partners.Become a trusted advisor for HP sales and cloud solutions teams, sharing best practices and learnings.Create and deliver advanced technical training to the technical members of the HP sales force.Develop tools, review documentation and maintain repeatable processes to allow rapid and successful cloud infrastructure deployments.Support internal and external audits to maintain a high-level of security certifications.

Education and Experience Required

College degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field5+ years of IT architect experienceSolution Architect certifications for AWS or Azure, preferably both3+ years experience designing and/or deploying cloud infrastructureAgile methodologyDesired IT and/or Cloud Security certifications.Desired experience in cloud deployment automation, CI/CDDesired experience with ITIL & Agile Project managementDesired experience with server-based business applications or system management toolsDesired experience with enterprise print & scan applications
