Description We are in search of a Sr. System Administrator with experience migrating from on prem to Azure to join a amazing team at a North County Non-profit. The individual will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our IT systems, including our Azure cloud tenant and on-prem Active Directory. The successful candidate will also be tasked with automating common tasks via scripting. Responsibilities: • Oversee the day-to-day operation of our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability of all servers, applications, and services using SolarWinds. • Manage the Azure environment, including the creation and management of new and existing virtual machines. • Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance across multiple server environments, ensuring proper integration with other organizational systems. • Maintain on-prem windows infrastructure and network services including Active Directory, AD Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File servers, and VMWare vCenter. • Administer all enterprise Azure AD applications, configure & maintain single sign on applications & IdP environment. • Provide user support for all user-based systems, assisting IT staff members with complex technical requests. • Respond to all system/application incidents reported through the service desk phone/ticketing system, including on-call coverage. • Assist in the development, implementation, and testing of server and data level disaster recovery plans. • Maintain proper and up-to-date documentation in the IT Knowledge Base system. • Stay current with respect to state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems. • Support the Network Administrator in the management of WANs, LANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi and firewalls in our Meraki environment. • Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with the department's policies and procedures. • Utilize Veeam Backup and Azure Active Directory to ensure the security and integrity of our data. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cloud System Administrator role or similar. • Proven experience with Veeam Backup is a mandatory requirement. • Proficiency in Azure Active Directory is necessary. • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. • Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure. • Experience in healthcare or NHS industry is highly preferred. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations is crucial. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to liaise with team members and other stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is essential. • Applicants must be knowledgeable about security and compliance standards in cloud environments. • The ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues is required. • Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools is a plus. • Certification in cloud technologies is highly desirable.
