Description We are in the financial services industry, based in San Antonio, Texas, and are currently in search of a Cloud System Administrator to augment our team. In this role, you will be expected to design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring they are scalable, highly available, and secure. Responsibilities: • Designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Managing and optimizing Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and networking components. • Implementing and maintaining Azure Active Directory (AAD) and identity management solutions. • Monitoring cloud environments for performance, availability, costs, and security, utilizing tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics. • Collaborating with the IT security team to ensure the implementation of security best practices and compliance standards. • Automating routine tasks and deployments using tools such as Azure Automation, PowerShell, Python, and Terraform. • Assisting in cloud migration projects, from assessment and planning to execution of workloads moving to Azure. • Supporting the design and implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure. • Documenting cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures for internal knowledge sharing and audit purposes. • Providing tier 2 and tier 3 support for cloud-related incidents and service requests. • Troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud issues in collaboration with internal teams and managed service providers. • Staying current with the latest Azure technologies and recommending improvements to enhance cloud capabilities. • Supporting IT leadership in developing cloud strategies aligned with the organization's goals. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cloud System Administrator role, preferably within the Financial Services industry. • Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon EC2, and Ansible is a must. • Experience with Atlassian Jira, Auto Scaling, and API Development is required. • Demonstrated skills in Automation and AWS Technologies. • Familiarity with Backup Technologies and Cluster Analysis. • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory is essential. • Proficiency in PowerShell Scripting. • Practical experience with Python.
