Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Security Engineer (Disaster Recovery) to join their team. As a Security Engineer, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical business functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Security Engineer (Disaster Recovery)
**Location:** Chicago, IL
**What's the Job?**
+ Develop and execute disaster recovery plans, ensuring alignment with business continuity strategies.
+ Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance recovery strategies.
+ Oversee the documentation and maintenance of detailed recovery plans.
+ Lead efforts to identify gaps in current processes and execute disaster recovery drills.
+ Work with program management teams to ensure ongoing training and awareness of recovery procedures.
**What's Needed?**
+ Experience with Splunk is required?
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience in disaster recovery, including plan development and execution.
+ 8+ years of experience in the information technology field.
+ Proven experience in risk management and business continuity.
+ Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS) and experience with technical documentation.
