Job Specific (90%):

Responsible for training and supervising Concierge team membersPrepares department shift reports and conducts pre-shift meetingsProduces weekly schedule for the departmentMaintains department labor costs within forecasted budgetary guidelinesSchedules and participates in staff meetingsCoach and Counsel team members according to Loews Hotel StandardsAssist leadership with daily and monthly inventory and reportingAssist leadership with managing food costs and purchasesGreets guests in a warm, friendly, and professional mannerFamiliar with all hotel facilities, room types, food and beverage outlets, recreational activities, and emergency proceduresFamiliar with local dining, shopping, and entertainment offeringsAnswers guest questions about the hotel and local area, researching and providing prompt and professional follow-up informationBecomes familiar with guest names and acknowledges them by nameCaters to each guest in their individual needsPersonalizes all services and anticipates guest requests whenever possibleMakes dining, theater, tour, travel, and other arrangements for Hotel guestsAssists guests with transportationArranges childcareInspects and maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of the Concierge desk, and lobby area, including temperature, lighting, and musicWorks closely with in-house vendors to satisfy guest entertainment needsConstantly displays outstanding communication and guest relations skillsDemonstrates a professional attitude in all interactions with guests, hotel staff, and vendorsAnswers telephone in accordance with Loews Hotels standardsProvides tours of the hotel, displaying extensive familiarity with its history and interior décorMaintains inventory of local maps and brochuresDevelops and maintains resources and contacts to ensure that hotel guests receive up to date information on a broad variety of activities and eventsRetrieves guest messages from computerSets up and disassembles the morning and evening concierge serviceConducts Random Guest Survey Calls in accordance with Hotel policy and standardsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum one year Concierge or Front Desk experienceMinimum one year supervisory experienceExcellent communication skills – oral and writtenOutstanding guest service skillsThorough knowledge of the local area including restaurants, attractions, and shopsAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
