Position Summary:
As an ICON Club Manager, you must be eager to provide one-on-one customer service with the understanding that you represent the face of a company focused on providing ICONic service. As the Club Manager, you must work directly with the Board of Directors, Community Association Manager and Developer to ensure the successful operation of the Community. Execute the essential functions of an Amenity Center Director when on duty. Responsible for all Club maintenance and service for the club. Assures that the needs of the members and guests are always exceeded.
Essential Job Functions:
Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous, and outgoing friendly service to all residents, guests, and fellow employees. Direct and coordinate the activities of staff and contract personnel and evaluate their performance. Investigate complaints, disturbances, violations, and resolve problems following management rules and regulations. Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment daily to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance. Solicit and analyze bids from contractors for repairs, renovations, and maintenance. Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, and remodeling or construction projects for commercial or residential properties. Maintain records of sales, rental or usage activity, special permits issues, maintenance and operating costs, or property availability. Meet with prospective tenants to show properties, explain terms of occupancy, and provide information about local areas. Manage and oversee operations, maintenance, administration, and improvement of commercial, industrial, or residential properties. Direct collection of monthly assessments, rental fees, and deposits and payment of insurance premiums, mortgage, taxes, and incurred operating expenses. Maintain contact with insurance carriers, fire and police departments, and other agencies to ensure protection and compliance with codes and regulations. Prepare detailed budgets and financial reports for properties. Act as liaisons between on-site managers or tenants and owners. Meet with the Board of Directors, Community Association Manager and committees to discuss and resolve legal and environmental issues, or disputes between neighbors. Assures the effective orientation and training of all new staff, and ensures that professional development activities for experienced staff are implemented. Ensures that all safety, sanitation, and other standards are consistently met. Ensures that all legal requirements are met for clubhouse operations, including but not limited to: wage and hour and federal, state, and/or local laws. Recruits and hires staff for operations. High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Community Association Manager (CAM) License preferred. Must obtain any required local and state licenses or certifications.Experience/Background/Knowledge:
Previous Property Management experience requested, but not required for exceptional candidate. Must have working knowledge of Florida Statutes as it relates to HOAs, CDDs, etc. Previous management experience in the food and beverage industry preferred. Knowledge of fine dining preferred. Proven leadership experience is mandatory.Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests, and employees in one-on-one and small group situations in a fast paced environment. Must have an understanding of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word; additional computer skills are necessary. Ability to create and disseminate written correspondence. Actively seek growth and development within the profession. Understanding that growth participation is directly related to your personal efforts and dedication to the profession. Must be able to perform math computations essential for budgeting and cost analysis purposes.Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 30 pounds.
