Position Purpose

\n

As the Cluster Assistant Director of Finance, you will oversee the financial operations of multiple hotels within the cluster. Your role is to ensure the highest standards of financial accounting, control, and reporting across all properties, while providing strategic financial support to the Cluster General Manager, Cluster Director of Finance and hotel teams.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

\n

Financial Accounting & Control:

\n\nManage the accounting records and financial reports for all hotels in the cluster, ensuring compliance with company, owner, statutory, and fiscal requirements.\nEnsure the balance sheets of all hotels accurately reflect their assets and liabilities, with regular reviews and reconciliations.\nMaintain a robust system of internal controls across the cluster to safeguard assets, liabilities, revenue, and costs.\nEnsure legal and tax compliance, manage insurance cover, and oversee pension schemes where applicable for all properties.\nSafeguard and update all leases and contracts affecting the financial status of the hotels within the cluster.\nLiaise with Internal and External Audit to ensure effective audit programs and prompt corrective actions across all hotels.\nEnsure all revenue is captured and conduct interim self-audits as required for each property.\nContinuously develop best practices in financial accounting and control procedures across the cluster.\n\n

Management Reporting:

\n\nDevelop high-quality management information and performance measurement that is timely and accurate for all hotels.\nImplement reporting that includes benchmarking, key performance indicators, and balanced scorecards for the cluster.\nEnsure all corporate reporting is timely, accurate, and internally consistent, with monthly reconciliations for each hotel.\n\n

Business Support:

\n\nProvide financial and commercial support to operation leaders and hotel teams across the cluster, including interpreting financial data.\nReview management information for all hotels and propose value-added initiatives to the Cluster General Manager and Cluster Director of Finance.\nSupport business development initiatives, major pricing decisions, and other commercial decision-making for the cluster.\n\n

Information Technology & Systems:

\n\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of financial systems in all hotels within the cluster.\nEnsure proper use and security of financial systems, with adequate backup procedures across the cluster.\nMaintain the integrity of data flowing into the accounting system and correct errors at the source for all properties.\nDevelop the usage of financial systems to enhance management reporting and efficiency across the cluster. \n\n

Looking Ahead:

\n\nSupport the Cluster General Manager and Cluster Director of Finance in strategic planning and identifying value opportunities for the cluster.\nManage the budgeting process and ensure regular forecasting cycles for all hotels.\n\n

Cash & Working Capital:

\n\nOptimize cash position by managing debtors, stocks, and receivables, while maximizing interest earnings across the cluster.\nMaintain accurate cash flow forecasts and provide adequate notice of future cash requirements for all hotels.\n

Requirements

\n\nProven experience in a senior finance/accounting leadership role within the hospitality industry, with a track record of driving operational success.\nStrong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.\nIn-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering.\nStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive performance and inspire high levels of team member engagement.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with owners, stakeholders, and staff.\nProficiency in English and Vietnamese; additional languages are a plus.\n\n

A degree graduate and professional accounting qualification.
