Position Purpose

\n

The Cluster General Ledger Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the general ledger accounting functions across multiple hotels within the cluster. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and provides support and guidance to the accounting team.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

\n

General Ledger Management:

\n\nOversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger accounts for all hotels within the cluster.\nEnsure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and posted in a timely manner.\nReview and approve journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies.\nAssist in the preparation of monthly statements, ensuring vouchers are correctly included in the accounts.\nAdjust all general ledger accounts and update supporting documents.\n\n

Financial Reporting:

\n\nPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the cluster.\nEnsure financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.\nPrepare financial statements as required by the owner company.\nEnsure all reports are completed correctly and on time.\n\n

Compliance and Audit:

\n\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.\nEnsure timely payment of taxes and compliance with Hilton standards for travel agent commission payments.\nCoordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.\nImplement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data.\nBe familiar with all accounting policies and procedures to ensure they comply with the SOP.\n\n

Reconciliation and Analysis:

\n\nPerform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.\nPrepare weekly bank reconciliations.\nReview the adjustment and certification of food and beverage control.\nAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.\nPrepare and review account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\n\n

System Management:

\n\nManage accounting systems and software, ensuring data integrity and security.\nImplement and maintain procedures and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.\nTroubleshoot and resolve system issues in collaboration with IT and software vendors.\n

Requirements

\n\nExtensive experience in general ledger accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.\nProficiency in accounting software and systems.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with owners, stakeholders, and team member\nProficiency in English and Vietnamese; additional languages are a plus.\n\n

Qualifications

\n

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
