We are seeking a **CM Construction Administrator (CEI Training Specialist)** to join our Duluth, GA team! Come join us!
**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Develop and provide training statewide for all GDOT related training needs (prime or sub), including training needs for municipal contracts that follow GDOT specs.
+ Perform on-site training for work currently taking place in the field.
+ Develop specialized training outside of GDOT if needed.
+ Develop and Implement a Mentorship program
+ Manage and track all certifications for CEI staff including staff in GA, SC, TN, Al, etc.
+ May also provide training to CEI staff in other SE Region states.
+ May also perform additional duties, such as TE, Plan Review, and other special projects as assigned.
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Thorough knowledge of specifications and standards, acceptable construction practices, materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction and engineering.
+ Thorough knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric calculations related to highway/transportation engineering.
+ Ability to read and comprehend construction plans and all other documents associated with a project.
+ Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law. Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology (4 year curriculum) or Construction Management (4 year curriculum) and three (3) years of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for a State Highway Agency.
**Technical requirements:**
+ Certifications:
+ GDOT Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor (WECS).
+ GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
+ GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
+ Completion of Project Management Training Program equivalent to GDOT Project Engineer’s Academy or demonstrated experience managing projects similar in size and complexity.
+ Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Thorough knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction. Considerable knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry related to highway/transportation engineering.
+ Skill in the use of office equipment such as calculators and computers. Ability to read, interpret and explain such things as construction plans, contract provisions, specifications, and inspection procedures; ability to take notes and prepare or review reports;
+ Good communicative ability; and supervisory ability to coordinate the activities of lower level employees and instruct them in proper work methods.
+ Shall be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law.
**Other miscellaneous qualities:**
+ Ability to travel, statewide and possibly neighboring states approx. 25% of the time
