Job Description

Job title:  Site Manager, Operations

Department & Location: Supply Chain & Operations, Guangzhou

Report to: Operations Senior Manager, APAC

Role Summary:

This position takes care of Managing programs for products which are produced in Contract Manufacturer (CM), which external to Church & Dwight Co., Inc. facilities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the Contract Manufacturer and coordinating production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining efficient communication with contract manufacturers. This position may also support New Project development and SAP jobs related to the new material or new vendor setup.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Purchase Order Management and Production Coordination

Manage the relationship with Contract manufacturer (CM), including development of Supply Agreement, Cost negotiation as required.Regularly monitor the Purchase Order List.Share updates and details with contract manufacturers to ensure alignment and timely production.Coordinate and communicate production plan requirements.Resolve issues related to scheduling, production, and delivery to ensure smooth operations.

Management for continuous improvement at Contract Manufacturer (CM)

Manage the product cost review and negotiationPropose and implement cash flow improvement initiatives, such as payment terms, inventory and etc.Identify, implement strategic and tactical plans for CM improvement and the elimination of non-value added costIdentify and implement the Cost Saving projects (G2G)

Capacity Management and Key Raw Material Supply Tracking

Manage and analyze capacity of Contract Manufacturer (CM) versus rolling forecasts.Identify potential issues caused by capacity constraints and recommend improvement actions.Monitor the supply of critical raw materials / components.Minimize production impacts by ensuring a steady supply of raw materials / components.

New Project Management

Work with R&D, QA and Contract manufacturer (CM) on new product development and appropriate commercial technologies.Manage the timeline of new project implementation.

Regular Reporting

Update and maintain regular reports on production attainment, inventory status, new project, potential supply issues.Provide accurate and timely information to relevant stakeholders.

Contingency Planning

Develop and recommend manufacturing contingency plans to address unforeseen production challenges.

SAP Coordination

May perform basic SAP tasks for new material or vendor setup, including creating information records, source lists, and schedule lines.

Qualifications

5 years of solid Supply Chain working experience in Supply Planning, Production, or Purchasing.   Experience in China/Asia contract manufacturing management is desired. College degree required, nice to have training of MBA program. Fluent in Oral and Written English, prefer to speak Korean as well. Computer proficiency with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project. Nice to have experiences in SAP system. Able to work independently and strong cross-functional team worker with other departments including R&D / QA and contract manufacturer. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. This position is typically office-based with regular visits to manufacturing sites in China/APAC regions.
