Ensures patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures. Assists and providers with all respect for direct patient care. Administer allergy tests & shots. Performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care. Assist with administrative tasks related to the allergy department and ENT procedures, such as pre-certification, referrals, etc.
Qualifications: Current SC LPN license OR Medical Assistant certification by either AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT required, and must be a graduate of a postsecondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience. . Computer proficiency required, use of electronic health record (Epic) preferred. Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred.
