CMC/GPO Regional Sales Manager - East

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Regional Sales Manager (Contract Management & GPO) will act within Pilgrim’s established business goals and objectives to plan, develop and implement strategies in pursuit of growth within the contract managed and group purchasing organization channels. This role will collaborate directly with the Sr. Director of CMC/GPO to create strategic, integrated customer business plans that will improve our ability to capitalize on opportunities for growth within defined customer groups; along with mitigating any existing risk to the business. The Regional Sales Manager (Contract Management & GPO) will deliver on assigned volume and financial objectives within specified targets.

 

The ideal candidate will be located in the Eastern Region.

 

Responsibilities:

Prepared Centric role, developing region to 25-50MM in Prepared businessRepresent as the Subject Matter Expert for Pilgrim’s within the channel, further develop relationships with key/strategic CMC/GPO accounts, manage the broker & deliver KPIs.Responsible for face-to-face execution of Pilgrim's Sales & Marketing Strategies in the segment, attend relevant shows, engage with industry leadership.Develop comprehensive bid & contract pipeline, execute cross-functionally to deliver results. Know where you need to be to win (which accounts, with what mix, at what price).Be a customer-centric consultant, engage in needs-based selling, bring solutions to your customers and drive thought leadership from the segment into cross-functional teams.Focus on core products (Prepared & Fresh), know your competitors, know our value proposition & provide internal feedback to renovate the business to support growth.  Contract & Pricing Management: Effectively manage contract negotiations and price/contract revisions throughout the year to support continued growth on MOG items and improve run-rate for APL items.Leverage CRM, trade analytics and broker resources to understand market performance, performance drivers and targets that can close your gaps. Own monthly report out w/ key objectives.Forecast Your Demand: Understand your run-rate, won/lost business, coordinate with demand planning & supply chain to ensure your demand gets serviced to meet your objectives.Assist cross-functional teams, be proactive, address needs, engage nationally/regionally, collaborate constantly, and ensure alignment with all stakeholders to drive results.Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.>5 years of sales experience in CPG Foodservice required.Non-Commercial CMC/GPO experience required; prior poultry experience preferred.Proven experience in building and maintaining business relationships with key CMC/GPO accountsExtensive travel required (50%+)Computer skill knowledge of internet navigation, Microsoft software knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required. Skills to assimilate to company computer system requirements.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals within and outside of the company.Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $130,000 - $160,000; andIncentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
