Job Title: CMM Inspector

Job Description

Operate CMM using Zeiss or Calypso software to measure and inspect parts. Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of molded parts and components.

**10% shift differential on 2nd shift and 15% shift differential on 3rd shift**

ResponsibilitiesPerform first article, in-process, and final inspections of molded parts and components.Analyze CMM reports and measurement data, interpreting results for conformance to specifications.Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.Support capability studies (Cp, Cpk), and process validation activities.Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for accurate measurement interpretation.Document and maintain inspection records per ISO/IATF standards.Assist in developing and improving inspection methods for molded components.Conduct manual inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision systems.Essential SkillsExperience in inspection and CMM operation.Knowledge of injection molding processes.Some CMM/VMM measurement experience (Zeiss, Micro Vu, OGP, Hexagon, Brown & Sharpe type machines).Experience in a quality lab or similar environment.CMM programming skills would be a plus.

Work Environment

Work on a production floor in the quality lab with a small team on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Assistance from other inspectors and supervisors is available if needed. Training on 1st or split shift during the first week. Schedule includes Monday-Friday for 1st and 2nd shifts, and Sunday-Thursday for 3rd shift. Shift details: 1st shift- 7:00am-3:30pm, 2nd shift- 3:00pm-11:30pm, 3rd shift- 11:00pm-7:30am.

This is a Contract to hire position based out of Torrington, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
