CMM Lab Supervisor
**CMM Lab Supervisor** **What You Will Need:** + **Experience & Education** : Bachelor’s degree preferred, but a minimum of 5 years in Automotive or equivalent experience accepted. + **Technical Skills** : + Advanced programming experience with Zeiss Calypso software, program R&R. + Experience with Zeiss CMM using Vast RDS XXT scanning head or Keyance scanning equipment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with basic measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauge, microscopes). + Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models, as well as designing and setting up CMM fixtures. + Proven ability to evaluate Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flow diagrams, and conduct PPAPs. + **Quality & Problem Solving** : + High-level problem-solving skills to perform root cause analysis and propose solutions. + Six Sigma experience or certification preferred. + Knowledge of gauge calibration/certification, inspection documentation, and quality standards. + **Interpersonal & Supervisory Skills** : + Strong communication skills to collaborate with management, engineering, suppliers, and customers. + Experience in supervising and mentoring lab or quality technicians. + Conscientious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with commitment to quality, precision, and timeliness. + **Physical Requirements** : Able to work safely in a lab environment with some manual lifting and handling of heavy objects. **What You Will Do:** + **Quality Inspection & Compliance** : + Inspect products at various stages of the production process and evaluate data to ensure quality standards. + Lead MSA system development and ensure compliance with quality processes, including Preventative and Corrective Action, Customer-specific requirements, non-conformance tracking, and IP testing. + Oversee and manage gauge control and calibration processes, and maintain inspection documentation. + **Lab & Testing Management** : + Supervise laboratory processes, including scheduling, product testing, and compliance tracking, ensuring completion to aggressive timelines. + Coordinate all lab equipment calibration and certification standards. + Manage ES testing schedules, IP testing frequency, and assess reports for compliance. + **Team Leadership & Training** : + Directly oversee lab or quality technicians, providing supervision, training, and guidance. + Mentor the plant Quality team in quality protocols, problem-solving, and adherence to DTS standards. + Support and train team members in the use of lab equipment and testing procedures, with a focus on MSA issue resolution. + **Continuous Improvement & Projects** : + Drive the modification of standards and procedures based on systemic lessons learned. + Support plant launch activities and compliance with Customer PPAP requirements. + Lead special projects focused on variability reduction or process improvement at least once a year.
