Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a CMM Operator, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The CMM Operator is responsible for the operation and inspection of the CMM machine, the analysis and interpretation of blueprints, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, to inspect and test procedures, and to communicate technical information to others, in an industrial setting. This position typically works under a high level of supervision.

What You Will Be Doing 

Operate CMM machine to inspect parts.Program and operate specialized inspection equipment (e.g., Talyrond, Nikon vision system, CMMs) and discuss inspection results with those responsible.Analyze and interpret blueprints, routings, evaluation sheets, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methodsModerate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects.  Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions such as wearing protective clothing or gear.  May be required to pass Near Vision and/or Color Vision examinations.

What We Are Looking For 

US – High School Diploma or equivalent  requiredAt least 6 months related work experience requiredKnowledge of and ability to apply inspection techniques (e.g., formalized inspection standards, inspection instructions, best practices) and use inspection tools efficiently.The ability to read and use micrometers, functional and cylindrical gauges, comparators, indicator setups, scales.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance including the ability to define tolerances on prints and perform inspection techniques.Knowledge of CMM operations including setup and controls.
