Overall Purpose\n

Our CMM ROMER Operator will participate in the site inspection function by developing inspection paths for a computerized portable arm coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Also, will develop programs using customer part specifications in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.\n

Responsibilities\n

Client Relationship & Business Development\n

\u00b7 Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria\n

Operations\n\nDetermine part inspection requirements from customer's geometric blueprint features\nRomer Arm Operation required\nCreate programs for portable arm coordinate measuring machines\nAdminister and\/or edit previously created programs\nInsure the part inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level\nQualify and operate portable arm CMM equipment as required\nVerify the operator's setup is suitable, the machine is calibrated and is operational\nOperate computer programming hardware and software systems\nAnalyze and troubleshoot portable arm setups and inspections paths\nOther duties and\/or responsibilities as assigned\n\n

Technical\n\nExpert level proficiency developing inspection programs, using PC-DMIS and\/or DOCS operating systems or equivalent\nExpert level proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings (blueprints)\nExpert level proficiency interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing standards (GD&T)\nExpert level proficiency navigating MS Windows and computer networks\nExpert level proficiency in applied mathematics'algebra, geometry and trig\nIntermediate level knowledge of surface-plate inspection techniques, measuring tools, and gauges\nDemonstrated comfort level interfacing with staff and management while working in a fast-paced environment\nDemonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated job diligence, attention to details, and solid problem-solving skills\n\nKnowledge, skills, abilities\n\n\n\n\n
