Job Description
The CMM Programmer will create, verify, and control CMM programs for use by personnel within the organization. Develop improvements in inspection efficiencies through the use of advanced gaging. Perform inspection activities of product and materials. Minimize variation and waste. Update work instructions, other formal documentation and provide training as necessary. This position reports to the Senior CMM Programmer.
Responsibilities:
Create and update inspection programs for CMM to be used by members of inspection/manufacturing team to determine product conformity. Provide CMM operation instruction as required. Verify and document program accuracy using EBAD internal and available industry standards. • Use the CMM and a variety of conventional and advanced inspection devices and instruments to verify dimensions to drawing specifications. Develop and implement process improvements relating to the inspection process. Improving inspection efficiency and throughput. Ensure that production schedules and customer requirements are met. Perform visual and dimensional inspection of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerance as necessary. Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follow work procedures. Provide support to achieve short-term and long-term department / company goals. Maintain records, data, and logs as necessary. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures / programs and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor. Make and document recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures. Contribute to 5S programs in work area. Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment. Work and communicate effectively between various departments. Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.Requirements:
The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and 5+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company.Basic Quality and Inspection methodsGeometric Tolerances and Dimensions CMM Programming & Troubleshooting5+ years of experience with PCDMISCompensation:
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
