Job Description
The CMM Programmer writes CMM programs based on measurement requirements and designates any necessary CMM fixtures, tools, and accessories. They create and load the CMM program into the machine controller and verify its accuracy. Quality assurance is vital as the programmer must ensure that measurements are accurate and align with design specifications.
ResponsibilitiesWrite, edit, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS.Train operators on CMM operation.Create and maintain a database of CMM programs.Generate reports from scans in Polyworks.Train inspectors on Metrascan and Roamer arm operation.Create schedules for audit inspections of fixturing.Maintain audit reports.Write, edit, and maintain Roamer arm programs.Collaborate with Engineering to improve drawings and GD&T.Essential Skills2 years of experience programming with PC-DMIS from scratch.Proficiency in CMM programming.Experience with Roamer arm.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Polyworks.Experience with Roamer arm scanning.Work Environment
The work environment includes working with advanced measurement equipment and technologies such as PC-DMIS, Polyworks, and Roamer arm. The role involves creating and managing a comprehensive CMM database and ensuring the accuracy of measurements. It also entails training operators and inspectors and collaborating with Engineering teams to enhance drawings and GD&T. The position is integral to maintaining high-quality standards in a leading company within the Autonomous Mining industry.
