Job Title: CMM Programmer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer for a full-time, on-site role in Santa Ana, CA. This position operates on the day shift from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet quality standards, and identifying areas for improvement. This role involves communicating with team members and management regarding quality issues.

ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product quality.Identify and communicate areas for improvement.Write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files.Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.Write AS9100 First Article Reports.Integrate with Net Inspect.Collaborate with team members and management on quality issues.Essential SkillsProficiency in using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.Ability to write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files.Experience with precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.Experience in writing AS9100 First Article Reports.Experience with integrating with Net Inspect.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working with aerospace products is strongly preferred.Firm understanding of shop math, engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.Experience with CMM programming and operation using Zeiss Calypso.Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M dimensioning tolerance.Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations and prepare associated documentation.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a mid-sized machine shop with around 45 staff members and growing. The machining team currently consists of around 25 members, including 4-5 programmers. The facility includes a deburr department, quality control, and shipping areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00
