Description We are providing an opportunity in Traverse City, Michigan, for a meticulous and skilled CMM Programmer to become a part of our team. In this role, you will be creating and modifying CMM programs to facilitate the parts inspection process. This role is situated in the industry and offers an exciting opportunity. Responsibilities: • Develop intermediate to advanced CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso • Generate detailed inspection plans and document them • Evaluate product conformance based on data derived from CMM • Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth micrometers • Prepare layout and dimensional CMM reports • Participate in the organization's continuous improvement culture • Manage the ballooning of customer prints and drawings • Develop instructions for CMM set-up and operation for different programs. Requirements • Proficiency in CMM Programming, with a focus on developing and implementing programs for precision measurement • Practical knowledge of using micrometers for accurate measurement and inspection • Demonstrated experience with calipers for internal and external measurements • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD& T) principles • Ability to interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and product specifications • Experience in maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting CMM machinery • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills for efficient reporting and documentation • Ability to work in a team setting, as well as independently • Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
