Job Summary
This is a Swing Shift position. CMM Programmer will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program Calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with other technicians. Technician will be inspecting fixtures and tooling using CMM.
Roles and Responsibilities
Swing Shift Position Provides oversight to the overall coordinate measuring machines (CMM's) process. Creates new CMM programs for new products and parts as required. Revises, updates, and performs troubleshooting of existing CMM programs. Performs routine maintenance on CMM’s and develops recommended PM scheduling for users and customers. Triage and perform CMM maintenance support. Act as the focal for scheduling outside vendors to service the CMM’s. Identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results. Plans sequence of testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment, according to blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and other specifications. Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.Utilizes direct measurement methods to verify accuracy of IMT&E.Measurement system evaluation, such as gauge R&R, correlation studies in support of manufacturing.Candidate must possess Coordinate Measuring Machine programming experience/certificationAbility to work with 3D CAD software such as Siemens NX.Familiar with requirements of Y14 GD&T specifications.Competency with Cal QC, Minitab and GOM software a plus.Expertise in dimensional and physical calibration preferred.Basic Qualifications
High school diploma with 6+ years experience in the field, OR Associates degree in engineering technology or other relevant field and 4 years experience. Formal military PMEL, TMDE or calibration school training with proof of attendance.U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.Preferred Qualifications
IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus+.
Proficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel
PMEL, TMDE or calibration school a plus+
Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
PC-DMIS or CMM Experience
