CMM Quality Technician

WHAT YOU WILL DO

A CMM Quality Technician is a member of a quality team. As a member of the team responsible for implementing the objectives of the production plant, the goals and objectives of the Department are entrusted to the Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for the daily monitoring of the overall quality.  

•    Manages the initial calibration of measuring instruments.
•    Observes the annual calibration schedule and monitors the calibration of all gauges according to the required frequency.
•    Maintains records of gauges and measuring instruments.
•    Manages calibration of linear and threaded gauges and provides calibration of gauges and measuring instruments.
•    Manages the calibration of measuring standards (lamps) in the test fixtures located in the workshops and ensures the calibration of the measuring standards.
•    Provides an external calibration of measuring instruments and evaluates whether the calibration results meet the required accuracy of the gauge.
•    Provides an external gauge repair and subsequent calibration. 
•    Develops and provides calibration procedures for calibration of measuring instruments
•    Works with maintenance personnel who perform temperature, pressure and flow calibration
•    Issues orders for external calibration in the order system
•    Creates and updates the scope of Metrology activities
•    Performs and evaluates the R&R attributes of the study meter.
•    Cooperates in the development and evaluation of CPK studies.
•    Monitors the development of measurement techniques, new knowledge within its competence.
•    Performs production and production control activities in the manufacture and repair of meters and special tools that are to be measured by a metrology measuring device.
•    Trains the staff to evaluate defects - which defect is still OK and which is not right, how to evaluate the disputed defect.
•    Participates in the selection of samples with shift auditors and quality engineers. Then, on the samples, the defect + sample number is marked.
•    Continuously communicates with the work group leaders the number of employees who are undergoing calibration the next day.
•    Provide good customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Technical high school or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field. 2 years minimum related experience preferred. ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3 (preferred) Experience in automotive industry as Tier 1 supplier.
