Actalent is seeking a CMM Specialist near Chattanooga, TN.
Responsibilities:
· Analysis on parts / systems to determine root cause
· Assembly, setup and measure parts
· Review assembly results with product auditor
· Set meetings with internal costumers to define counter measures and long-term actions for the defined issues
· Protocol meeting minutes and action plans
· Establish presentations and reports for analysis and review of measurements
· Create topic sheets for presentations
· Identifying measurement needs and coordinating with customers
· Preparing CAD files for Offline programming and product analysis
· Measure parts in free state and on fixture using Faro arm, Zeiss CMM.
· Cross checking measurement results for plausibility
· Supporting the customers with evaluating the measurement results
· Discussing measurement results with respective departments and suppliers
· Determination of steps for correction of single and assembly parts in the exterior and interior
Qualifications:
· 3+ Years of Measuring Technology experience, automotive experience preferred
· Engineering / technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
· Experience in vehicle launch programs and PPAPs
· Experience with 3D measurement equipment such as ZEISS, DEA
· Experience with evaluating and improving sheet metal, plastic parts quality, and vehicle manufacturing process quality
· Good understanding of Statistical Tolerance Analysis and Process Capability Studies in general
· Excellent spatial ability
· Solid understanding of technical drawings, specifications, functional dimensions etc.
· Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
· Excellent problem solving and implementation of corrective actions where necessary
· Analytical, innovative and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic thinking
· Experience with Measurement Software (e.g. Metrolog, DMIS, Calypso…) would be preferredPay and Benefits
