Amentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support our industrial operations & maintenance team at a major automotive manufacturer in the Atlanta, GA area!
Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; various hours may be required based on business demand.
This position’s primary function is to plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for a team of facility maintenance technicians. The Planner/Scheduler acts as liaison between Amentum staff, subcontractors and clients for the planning and scheduling of maintenance work orders. In addition, this position will work with technical leads and technicians to prioritize and plan work according to facility requirements.
Experience working with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) is required, as is the ability to create spreadsheets and power point presentations and the ability to create and present planning/scheduling metrics to management staff. Successful candidates demonstrate the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced industrial, large commercial or logistics environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning preventive/corrective maintenance activities daily for maintenance technicians; obtaining proposals from qualified suppliers; preparing requisitions; providing schedules and coordinating work; and developing machine specific and general job plans.
Essential Functions:
+ Distribute Preventive Maintenance and Demand Work Orders in the form of a weekly schedule and assist Supervisor and/or Leads with job coordination.
+ Collaborate with Technical leads and technicians to properly plan work orders including material management, task estimating for budgetary approval and customer communication.
+ Utilize CMMS to record work order classification, priority, activities, and trade.
+ Coordinate with site managers and technicians to create, assign, and close out Planned Maintenance (PM) and Service Work Order (SWO).
+ Create PM routes and corrective SWOs
+ Lead and drive continuous PM optimization and facility improvement projects
+ Analyze and report data on Demand and PM Work Orders such as: overdue, backlog, received/ completed statistics and additional reports as requested for monthly reporting to Program Manager and Supervisor
+ Work with the Supervisor, Leads, Technicians and Procurement to ensure accurate and timely communication with the requestor(s) regarding status of work orders such as: awaiting parts, on hold, or that have been rescheduled.
+ Work with contract administrator ensures timely and accurate vendor support.
+ Provide recommendations with regards to facilities equipment and utility systems maintenance programs.
+ Comply with established safety and environmental procedures.
+ Adjust to changing conditions and occasionally work second shift, holidays, and weekends as required.
+ Perform under minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment in problem resolution.
+ Communicate facilities requirements to team leads.
+ Comply with and enforce Amentum and company policies and safety practices, procedures, and guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and the use of PPE.
+ Respond to emergency calls (by phone or in person) during off-hours and determine resources needed to mitigate problem (Amentum or subcontractor)
+ Other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
+ 2 years of maintenance planning experience in a laboratory, scientific instrumentation, research and development, or industrial environment.
+ Experience with a CMMS such as MAXIMO, SAP, or other database systems.
+ Qualified applicants offered a position must be able to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
+ Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
+ Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
+ This position may require a valid Driver’s License **.**
+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
+ Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
+ Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
+ Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
+ Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
+ Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.
+ Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
+ Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
+ Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
+ Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
**Preferred Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Experience with a CMMS such as MAXIMO, SAP, or other database systems.
+ Experience in technical maintenance related to automotive manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (including Outlook, Word, and Excel).
+ Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with an understanding of critical systems supporting the automotive industry, such as HVAC, chillers, electrical components, and plumbing.
+ Experience in employee and subcontracted work coordination in a predictive and reliability-based facility maintenance program.
+ Experience working with a building management monitoring system.
+ Certificate or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE or BOMA.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and one-line drawings
