Who We Are
The Custody Management Services (CMS) group acts as an overarching layer of oversight for the provision of end to end global custody services to our Clients and their 3rd Party Asset Managers.
CMS acts as the central point of entry to State Street for inquiries and escalations relating to core global custody operations.
Our teams strive to understand the strategic needs of our Clients and Asset Managers. We foster close working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to support the overall client experience. Be the custody advocate to assist in improving processes/reporting for custody best practice, for clients, Asset Managers and as well as State Street.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Assess, own and manage custody specific issues for top-tier asset owners and institutional banking clientsBuild on subject matter expertise across all facets of custody administration including:All aspects of custodial administrationCorporate actionsFull trade settlement cycleDerivativesIncomeVarious financial markets globallyAccounting, and,Procedural and global market specific issues impacting clientsDevelop and enhance client relationships by leveraging exceptional custody matter expertiseCollaborate with internal teams and departments to improve the delivery of client custody solutionsSupport team members through operational insight and leadership skillsThorough understanding of back office functionality and riskAct with minimal direction in self directed capacities to resolve issues, identify gaps and implement solutionsWhat We Value
This role is well suited to a dynamic and experienced custody client service professional. Working with an allocated institutional client base, this role will allow you to demonstrate your outstanding client service and relationship management skills as well as bridging custody operations with custody solutions.
To be considered for this role you will ideally demonstrate the following attributes:
Proven and proficient written and verbal communication & interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to take ownership and initiative in a self-directed environmentA strong appreciation of client service acumenA strong understanding of process flowsExcellent organisational, planning and execution skills including ability to prioritise and multi-task. You must be comfortable working in a fast paced environmentAn understanding of Global Custody – ProductSome knowledge of equity, fixed income, FX, derivatives, financial market practice (domestic and global markets)Fundamental understanding of the trade lifecycle including sub custodians, cash correspondents and market depositories.Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree ( Finance , Business , Economics)2-3 years + experience in a financial services work environmentState Street's Speak Up Line
