Job Title: CMT Technician
Job Description
Perform field observation and testing during the placement of construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. Prepare reports documenting observations and test results. Facilitate contractor relationships and communicate with contractors and engineers to discuss observations and test results. Perform rudimentary mathematical computations.

+ Prepare detailed reports documenting observations and test results.
+ Facilitate and maintain effective relationships with contractors.
+ Communicate with contractors and engineers to discuss observations and test results.
+ Perform basic mathematical computations as required.
Essential Skills
+ ACI certification
+ 1-2+ years of experience testing soils, concrete, or asphalt on dam construction sites
+ Proficiency in soil and concrete testing
+ Experience with nuclear density gauges
+ Knowledge of soil compaction techniques
+ Proficiency in soil sampling and materials testing
+ Geotechnical experience
+ Report Writing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ ICC or NICET certification
+ Experience in construction materials testing on dam sites (or commercial sites)
Work Environment
This is a field position that requires working outside on various sites. The candidate may work alone on dam sites or with another technician. Responsibilities include testing soil and concrete both in the field and laboratory. The role requires the ability to perform basic mathematical computations. The candidate must be physically capable of lifting up to 50-75 pounds occasionally and navigating construction sites. Potential project site locations include Newnan, Canton, Macon, and Decatur. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $31.00/hr.
