CNA 2 - Float Pool

CNA 2 – Float Pool - Medical Surgical at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.  This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

We are a diverse family of caregivers that takes pride in collaborating across the hospital in a variety of settings to provide clinically excellent patient and family centered care. Joining our team brings fantastic opportunities and challenges. We train to support 10 units in our hospital: Medical A, Medical B, Medical C, Cardiology A, Cardiology B, Surgical, Orthopedics, Neurovascular, Oncology, and Clinical Decision Unit. 

After some experience working in our ministry, we offer opportunities to cross-train outside of our Division to Behavioral Health, Interventional Recovery Unit, and the Emergency Department within your scope of practice.

We provide 4 weeks of orientation with an established Float Pool CNA depending on your prior experience. Orientation includes training to work on the floor, serve as a constant observer, and provide support at the Nursing station.

The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or equivalent education/experience Or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements. Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year experience as a CNA 2
