CNA 2 - Medical Surgical 4L Unit at Providence Portland Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (3, 12-hour shifts a week. Schedule varies. Every other weekends). with rotating weekends.

In this position you will: 

Contribute to a high functioning team  Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights  Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests  Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices  Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference  Other duties as assigned 

The CNA 2/HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit; collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties.

Required qualifications:

Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course Or  Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements. Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License  Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

1 year Experience as a CNA 2.
