CNA 2 - Medical Surgical

CNA 2 – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.  This posting represents a per diem, night shift opening (7pm-7:30am). We are seeking candidates that can pick up weekday and weekend shifts.   

Extra Incentives: 

Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr 

In this position you will:  

Contribute to a high functioning team   Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers  Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights    Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests   Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices   Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference   Other duties as assigned  

The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements. Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred qualifications:

1 year experience as a CNA 2.
